Description The Senior Web Developer candidate should excel in all components of the technical production skill set including; XHTML, DHTML, .NET, CSS, Flash Action-Scripting, AJAX Tea template integration with our Content Management System, slicing layered Photoshop files, site maintenance and troubleshooting. The Senior Web Developer should be able to lead a team of Web Developers on a project, provide leadership in critical thinking, in addition to communication, team/project management, and documentation which are all skills critical to success in this role.
The candidate for this position will be able to drive project initiatives, as well as provide technical architecture oversight, communicate technical decision and processes, as well as manage client and business expectations. This candidate should be able to deliver projects successfully and on time with little oversight required.
The successful candidate is also expected to help lead and train other Web Developers, as well as work to constantly improve production delivery techniques. The Sr. Web Developer is called upon to develop new technologies for planned or existing sites, and to integrate technology into these sites. This position also serves as the technical liaison among the “back room” technical personnel and the creative and content teams to explain technical protocols. This candidate should have exceptional technical skills and proven people and team management skills and communication skills.

Requirements
- Five or more years of web development, including expertise in XHTML, DHTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript and at least one of the following - ASP/JSP/PHP/.NET or a similar object-oriented server-side scripting language
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate technical issues to a diverse non-technical audience
- Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with complex applications developed across multiple environments (DEV, QA, LIVE) with varying configurations.
- Two or more years experience leading teams and projects
Experience writing technical specifications and driving them through development
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of XHTML, DHTML, CSS and JavaScript; strong knowledge of web standards
- Expert in at least one - ASP/JSP/PHP or similar object-oriented server-side scripting language (familiarity with TEA a plus)
- Solid understanding of XML
- Proven ability to work with and provide leadership to all members of a diverse project team
- Experience with Flash application development; ActionScript a plus.
- Proven ability to develop applications across multiple complex environments with varying configurations (DEV, QA, LIVE)
- Content Management System Architect
- Experience drafting requirements and functional specifications
- Proven ability to lead technical projects and technical teams
- Extensive structured programming experience
- Proven resourcefulness in troubleshooting complex problems, finding available internal solutions, as well as developing new solutions based on external sources (Google can find anything!)
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
- Experience with leading geographically separated projects and teams a plus
