Description
The Junior Web Developer candidate should have experience with the Microsoft .NET platform and Content Management System (CMS) methodologies. The Junior Web Developer should be able to work in an independent mode and handle on going site maintenance of Robin Hood's site.

The candidate for this position will be able to support project initiatives, as well as provide technical architecture recommendations, communicate technical understanding and processes, work with Web site hosting company, as well as work with third party developers in micro site management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this Web Developer position include, but are not limited to:

  • Works with Senior Developer to assist with web based programming tasks
  • Maintains numerous sites such as our corporate website and intranet
  • Customizes third party applications
  • Works in all stages of the software development life cycle such as gathering requirements, design, implementation, testing and debugging
  • Designs and creates new ASP.NET applications based on business unit’s requirements
  • Writes and maintains functional and technical documentation pertaining to programs
  • Develops and maintains plans outlining steps and time tables for developing, testing, and installing applications
  • Researches and evaluates software and hardware to assist in programming or to use as program platforms
  • Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with program

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of ASP.NET (VB.NET or C#) and Sharepoint work experience
  • BA/BS degree in a related field or 4 years work related programming experience
  • Knowledge in the following areas is required: ASP.NET, VB.NET or C# 2.0 (or higher), HTML, JavaScript, Transact-SQL, CSS, OOP
  • Knowledge in the following areas is a benefit but not required: Visual Studio 2005/2008, Adobe Photoshop, IIS, Subversion, jQuery, AJAX
